Coffee
KIT Coffee
KIT Coffee has been around for a while, and they know what they are doing. They have delicious coffee prepared by passionate baristas. They also have seasonal drinks that are fun to try. Hands-down, you must try their breakfast burrito - every local knows it’s #1 in Newport Beach - and if they don’t know, now they do! I also love this spot for working - it has great outdoor and indoor set-ups for meeting people or getting things done on your own.

Coffee Dose - Flagship and Micro Dose Drive Thru
Coffee Dose has 3 locations in Orange County and one in Beverly Hills. Their hot pink and kitschy branding makes them stand-out, but their coffee is also unmatched. I love the beauty latte with housemade rose syrup. The ambiance of the Flagship location is a great spot to pick-up or sip your coffee - they also have a great breakfast and brunch menu that’s worth ordering from.

Breakfast
Haute Cakes
Haute Cakes is a go-to breakfast and brunch spot for Newport locals. It’s nestled in a low key courtyard, but still draws a crowd. You can sit inside or outside and feel the buzzy energy of everyone enjoying their time here. Their pancakes are of course what they are known for - but I suggest ordering the American Scramble, and splitting (or order for yourself) a side of their Orange Ricotta Haute Cakes… or the Gluten-Free Buckwheat Haute Cakes with homemade blackberry jam and creme fresh. Wow, my mouth is watering just typing this out.

Lunch
Bear Flag Fish Co.
This is the ultimate lunch spot in Newport Beach… if you like seafood, of course. Their Bear Flag Burrito, sushi, poke, ceviche and guacamole are items you MUST TRY. The fresh fish, flavorful sauces and thoughtfully seasoned food is unmatched. Eating your food on the patio or taking to go and snacking on the beach is the way to go!

Dinner
Gulfstream
Gulfstream is the ideal dinner spot, offering incredible food, and a cozy and romantic ambiance. Put your name in and expect a wait, or grab a reservation - then order a drink to sip on their outdoor lounge patio with fireplaces while you wait for your table - trust me, it just sets the scene for a great night. Once you sit down (I prefer outside under the string lights), order the fresh biscuits, a wedge salad and their infamous grilled artichoke… to start. Come hungry, because you will also want to order a dinner entree AND dessert (lemon meringue pie).

Dessert
Salt and Straw
Salt and Straw recently decided to open up shop in Newport Beach, and I (and everyone else who lives here) am so excited! They have favorited flavores year round, like salted caramel, and also new flavors every few weeks. It’s the most fresh, tasty and addicting ice cream I’ve ever had. Need I say more?
